CSM Synapse 2024 Crowns Loyola International School as Champions in Record-Breaking Quiz Competition
In a spectacular showcase of intellectual prowess, Loyola International School emerged victorious at the third edition of CSM Synapse, claiming the prestigious title of CSM 2024 Champions. This year’s competition reached unprecedented heights, drawing participation from 43 schools across Odisha, with a staggering 154 teams and 308 students vying for the top spot.
The dynamic duo of Purbasha Falguni and Pratyaksh Rastogi from Loyola outshone hundreds of competitors, ultimately besting five other zonal-winning teams in a fiercely competitive Grand Finale. Their exceptional performance earned them the grand prize of INR 50,000 and the admiration of peers and organizers alike.
This year’s CSM Synapse, held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, marked a significant evolution in both scale and format. The introduction of a new two-tier structure, featuring three Zonal Quizzes in July followed by the Grand State Finale, allowed for broader participation and more intense competition than ever before. This innovative approach provided a platform for the brightest young minds from every corner of Odisha to showcase their talents on an unprecedented scale.
In the closely contested final, Pratyush Dhal and Ayan Senapati from DAV Unit VIII, Bhubaneswar, secured the second runner-up position and were awarded a prize of INR 25,000. Other finalists, including teams from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (Berhampur), Indo English School (Rourkela), Delhi Public School (Paradip Refinery), and Deepika English Medium School (Rourkela), were honored as zonal winners, each having demonstrated exceptional knowledge and quizzing skills in their respective zones.
The event kicked off with an inspiring speech by Manoj Kumar Patra, CFO of CSM Tech, welcoming the hundreds of eager participants. The competition itself was a thrilling mix of challenging questions, engaging games, and exciting surprises, keeping contestants and spectators alike on the edge of their seats throughout the day.

Panda also highlighted the collaboration with Quizcraft Global, led by Mr. Mubayi and Mudita, which has created a unique platform blending competition and fun. “We look forward to expanding Synapse to an inter-state level, making it even bigger and better in the coming years,” she added.
The competition’s prestige was further elevated by the presence of Adityanath Mubayi, India’s renowned quizmaster and head of research for the popular TV series ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ Mubayi emphasized the importance of knowledge, noting that the bright young minds present were “the future torchbearers” of CSM’s vision. “CSM, being a leader in Information Technology, holds knowledge at its core, and it’s evident that these students are embodying that principle,” he expressed.
