Bhubaneswar, January 24, 2024: The final year MBA students from ASBM University visited the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel’s Paradip plant today for insights into steel industry management practices.
The visit provided an overview of production, supply chain, and sustainability processes from a management perspective. Students gained insights into raw material procurement, inventory and warehouse management, manufacturing quality control, supply chain coordination with port logistics, marketing and customer relationship management.
Through interactions with the company’s Sales, Finance, HR, Production, Quality, Safety and Sustainability heads, students understood how management concepts around forecasting, budgeting, change management, performance management and CSR are applied in the steel industry.
The exposure prepares them well for management roles as they carry learnings on decision making, interdepartmental coordination and corporate responsibility.
ASBM University has a long history of organizing industry visits for its ACBSP accredited MBA programs. The experiential learning provides students comprehensive insight into contemporary management challenges.
