New York/Bhubaneswar: CSM Tech, an Indian IT consultancy company with operations in Africa, the United States, and Dubai, has joined the group of 376 signatories who have pledged to achieve a net-zero world by the year 2040. The business is the first from Odisha and the seventh company in India to sign the pledge.

The biggest worldwide forum for climate change, Climate Week in New York, where this was unveiled. In the presence of world leaders, including the presidents and chairs of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Trade Organization (WTO), IFPRI, African Union, European Investment Bank, Mastercard, Water.org, United Nations FCC, Estee Lauder Group, Loreal Group, Amazon, McKinsey, PwC, Hitachi, Siemens, Google, Capgemini, Accenture, etc., the Climate Pledge Group unveiled the initiative.
The Climate Pledge commits to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, which is ten years earlier than the Paris Agreement’s deadline. In 2019, after co-founding “The Climate Pledge” with Global Optimism, Amazon became the first corporation to join it. To address the climate catastrophe and overcome the difficulties of decarbonizing our economy, the goal is to create a cross-sector community of businesses, organisations, people, and partners.
