SAMS Odisha Commences CPET 2024 Registration for Postgraduate Admissions

Bhubaneswar, 19 May 2024 – The Odisha Higher Education Department has opened the online application process for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPET 2024). Aspiring candidates can now apply through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) at samsodisha.gov.in. The application window will close on May 27 at 11:45 PM.

Candidates will have the opportunity to edit their application forms on May 28 between 10:00 PM and 11:45 PM. The applicants’ data will be submitted to the State Selection Board (SSB) by June 1. Admit cards will be available on the SSB website (ssbodisha.ac.in) and the SAMS website from June 22 at 11:00 AM onwards.

The CPET 2024 examinations are scheduled to take place from July 3 to July 14. This year, the postgraduate admissions will be conducted in three phases, starting with a comprehensive first phase that includes four rounds of selection.

The first two rounds will consider reservation and weightage criteria. In the third round, seats will be de-reserved if there are no eligible applicants from specific categories. The fourth and final round of the first phase will be a spot admission round.

According to the official notification, candidates who secure admission during any of the rounds in the first phase will be ineligible to participate in the subsequent phases. The second and third phases are exclusively reserved for students who were not admitted in the first phase.
